CONCORA sings Bach This Weekend
CONCORA (Connecticut Choral Artists) and the Hartford Symphony Orchestra will continue its popular annual collaboration presenting works of Johann Sebastian Bach this Sunday, March 24, 2013 at 4:00 PM. CONCORA’s Artistic Director, Richard Coffey, will conduct. The concert will take place in the sanctuary of Immanuel Congregational Church, 10 Woodland Street, Hartford (corner of Farmington Avenue and Woodland).
Featured on the concert will be three works: a solo cantata for four singers (Cantata 151 Süsser Trost, mein Jesus kömtt;) Cantata 70 Wachet! Betet! seid bereit allezeit; and the fourth in CONCORA’s cycle of Bach’s masses, the Missa Brevis in A Major (BWV 234).
