CONCORA Presents Great Music of the Russian Orthodox Tradition

Later this month, CONCORA will present a full-length concert of great sacred choral works from the Orthodox tradition in the acoustically-resplendent Church of St. Thomas the Apostle in West Hartford, CT. 

This “Eclectic All-Night Vigil” (or Vespers), conducted by Richard Coffey, will feature the fifteen traditional sacred texts identified with Vespers, selected from works by a number of composers, including Georgy Sviridov, Pavel Chesnokov, Alexander Kastalsky, Alexandre Gretchaninoff, Arvo Pärt, and of course, Sergei Rachmaninoff.
